Hull Homes is looking for an experienced CONSTRUCTION Project Manager/Superintendent with a strong background in custom home building to join our team and manage high visibility residential remodels and new builds to exacting standards for our exceptional clientele.

We are expecting you to be organized, self-disciplined, a great communicator, and excited to learn. The ideal candidate will be familiar with all stages of residential construction, be a self-starter, and be comfortable leading others.

Hull Homes has been building new historic-style homes, remodeling, and completing historic restorations in Fort Worth for over 28 years. Hull Homes’ mission is to create timeless period homes that will last for generations and to share with others our passion for classical design, traditional building techniques, and artisanal craftsmanship. Most of our projects are the type of high-end, quality-first homes that a true craftsman dreams of working on.

We are looking for the people who are tired of working on projects where the production home mindset means low budget and high-speed win over quality and craftsmanship every time. We’re looking for people who are always eager to improve themselves and find better ways to deliver high quality work.

At Hull Homes we thrive on constantly learning from the master builders of the past, as well as the best new techniques in building science and project management. Our clients come to us to do what few others can: not just build a one-of-a-kind custom house but create a home that is a work of art and tells a story. To us, a “custom home” does not mean letting the client pick from a selection of trim and fixtures, but many times it means recreating millwork from historical documents and sourcing material from all over the world.

    The ideal candidate should:

    • Be a clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
    • Have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
    • Be proficient in using technology (computers, tablets, smartphones). We use BuilderTrend software to document and track project progress.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft office products including word processing, email, etc.
    • Have 10+ years of experience in residential construction, preferably on high end custom builds.
    • Have leadership and strong collaboration skills.

Duties as a Project Manager include, but are not limited to:

    • Create and manage budgets and schedules for residential projects ranging from remodels to new construction.
    • Work with subcontractors to collect bids, define scope of work, and schedule work.
    • Find new qualified subcontractors.
    • Understand architectural/engineering/building plans and make sure they are being properly executed.
    • Coordinate with Clients, Architects, Designers, Sales, Operations, and Local officials to keep projects moving forward in a timely manner.
    • Work on site/from vehicle to manage projects on the ground: Lock/unlock, check on work in progress, approve completed work, keep sites clean and organized, safety protocols, etc.
    • Create & submit Daily logs on each project with detailed notes and photos/videos/etc.
    • Maintain excellent & transparent communication with clients throughout each project.
    • Follow all required company policies, procedures, and paperwork. Instruct trade partners to have a thorough knowledge of the same.

    All candidates must:

    • Pass a pre-employment drug test.
    • Submit to a background check.
    • Have a valid driver’s license without restrictions and a reliable vehicle.
    • Complete various assessment tests.
    • Have a strong work ethic with the highest degree of honesty, integrity, and discretion.
    • Be excited to continually learn more about construction, architecture & design, history, and building science via courses, videos, books, meetings, etc.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Starting pay $71k (salary + allowances).
    • Performance based bonuses.
    • Monthly allowances for Vehicle, Phone, and Healthcare.
    • Paid time off: Two weeks of vacation, 8 holidays, 5 sick days.
    • Being part of a team that is constantly working to improve, where your voice is valued.
