Description: In recent years builders of high performance housing have seen a rise in comfort and durability issues related to humidity and moisture factors Sustained periods of high outdoor temperatures and humidity, when combined with the requirements of current energy codes, and above code programs, have resulted in problems at many new construction projects. As a result of those complications builders and design teams are now working with their building science consultants to incorporate new approaches, helping mitigate risk moving forward. This session will examine the the issue through the lens of field case studies, current and developing program requirements, best practices, and new strategies and technologies.
